My name is April, and I am a proud Bulldog! I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher here at Bowman. I fell in love with the culture, students, and staff and continued pursuing a teaching career by completing my student teaching with the very dedicated and talented Bowman teacher, Jamie Herrington. Following my student teaching, I was fortunate enough to work here on a few long term substitute teaching assignments. In 2012, I was hired at Bowman to teach full time and I couldn't be happier. I have the pleasure of waking up every morning knowing that I will be going to a place I love, to do what I love. Every day is a new day where I know I will encounter new problems to solve, and I get to help young people find their own path in life. These two things keep me fresh, motivated and energized. I teach United States History and government.
