Electric Bicycle and Motorized Scooter Use
The District expects all students to comply with state and local laws regarding the use of electric bikes (“e-bikes”) and scooters. High school students who have a valid driver’s license may operate a Class 3 e-bike while wearing a helmet and adhering to all speed and traffic laws. All other students may operate unmodified Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes while wearing a helmet and adhering to all speed and traffic laws. Additional details about the use of e-bikes and scooters are included in each school’s “E-Bike & Micro Mobility Regulation,” which is available on each school’s website.
The William S. Hart Union High School District is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, or related equipment on or near campus. Students are solely responsible for securing their personal transportation devices with a reliable lock and following all safety and parking guidelines.
