Hello! I'm a teacher at Bowman with experience teaching a range of Social Studies and English courses. This year, I teach World History and Economics.
In my World History class, we examine the development of societies and civilizations across time and place, with an emphasis on understanding the diverse experiences that have shaped our world. Students explore historical events and institutions while considering cultural, political, economic, and social perspectives. Through the study of history, students develop their ability to analyze evidence, consider multiple perspectives, and make connections between the past and the world they inhabit today.
In my Economics class, we cover fundamental economic concepts and apply the tools used to understand economic systems and decision making. Students examine topics including personal finance, entrepreneurship, international economics, comparative economic systems, economic measurement, and economic methods. Throughout the course, students apply economic principles to real-world questions and situations, developing an understanding of both broader economic systems and the financial decisions they will encounter in their own lives.
