Important Graduation Information for Monday, June 1st at 8:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 6:00 pm.

Details

We want to give you the details on how things will proceed with our drive-thru graduation and we ask that you please follow these directions so everyone involved can have the best experience possible.

To confirm, our drive-thru graduation will take place on Monday June 1st at 8:00 am. Please plan just one car per family and do not arrive early. The Department of Public Health guidance is clear that no top-down convertibles, limousines, party buses, flatbed trucks, or motorcycles will be allowed to enter. Graduates will need to be in cap and gown and show they have a facemask for the car to be admitted into the Central Park lot. Bowman students will also need to bring their Diploma Covers for the photo on stage.

We encourage you to safely and creatively decorate your cars in a manner that highlights your graduate’s accomplishments. Have fun with it! We want to be extra proud of our Bulldogs!

We will start the graduation on Monday June 1st, at 8:00am. Based on the first initial of your last name, your arrival time will be:

(LIST alpha breakdown and times)

8:00 (A – L)

8:45 (MZ)

Directions

Please enter Central Park at the stop light off Bouquet Canyon Road (the south entrance to the park will be closed). Once you enter off Bouquet, follow the signs to the back of the park (please see the attached map of Central Park).

There will be a stage set up on your right side as you approach the back of the park. Please have an 8.5 X 11-inch piece of paper attached to the back passenger-side window of the car (please refer to the attached template).

Procedure

The graduate will exit the car wearing a mask, stand at an appropriate social distance from others, and be directed on stage when it is his/her turn. An administrator will read the name taped to your passenger-side window and the graduate will walk on stage and collect their diploma cover before moving to a mark for a professional photo to be taken by O’Connor Photography. The graduate will then exit the stage on the opposite side they entered and return to their car. Please follow the signs to exit the park back at the light on Bouquet Canyon Road.

If you can’t make it to the drive-thru graduation, we will be live-streaming the event. Here is the link to the livestream for https://bit.ly/bowmanhs2020 Bowman High School.

This link will also allow extended family and friends to view the event. It is live so will only play between 8:00-finish.

Actual diplomas, programs, medals and awards will be distributed later that day at Bowman High School from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm. You will be asked to pop your trunk so your graduates items can be placed in there. Please keep your name plate on your windshield for pick-up that day. That evening, Bowman will host its virtual graduation at 6:00 pm. If you would like more information regarding our drive-thru ceremony or diploma pick up, please contact Eran Zeevi, School Principal at (661)372-0535.

Virtual Graduation Has Been Changed to Monday, June 1st, 6:00 PM

The last-minute change in the County Health Order has caused us to adjust our previously scheduled graduation date in order to accommodate a car parade at Central Park. With that in mind, we’ve also changed the date and time of the debut of our special virtual graduation video. We encourage you to make it an entire day of celebration! Join us for the car parade earlier and then return home to watch an outstanding video tribute at 6:00 pm that evening after picking up diplomas at Bowman High School that afternoon.
